Our annual golf day took place at the Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club on Thursday 15th June with a full field of 26 teams taking part to battle out the honours in our traditional rivalry.

It is with a heavy heart that the Building Forum for Devon and Cornwall announces the sad passing of its Founder and President John Bracey. John was without doubt the original driving force for the establishment of the Forum which came into being on the 9th July 2012 and we will always be indebted to his verve and for his drive for the bon amis culture and association that we all continue to share and enjoy today.

2016 Autumn Dinner Last years Autumn Dinner attracted a full house of over 300 people at the Holiday Inn Plymouth. The Building Forum was pleased to further promote their relationship with Plymouth University through the presentation of a number of student awards during the evening and our Building of the Year Award to the winner being the Genesis Building,

A patchy day of weather saw us finally hold our inaugural cricket tournament. Six teams formed from every facet of the building industry took each other on in the stunning setting of the Cornwood Cricket Club. There were plenty of boundaries, wides and a little claret throughout the day with each game played in great spirit. The deserved winners were Kier Construction, who managed to fend off the rest of the competition throughout the day.

Happy 2016 to all! The Building Forum had a great year in 2015 running a series of fully attended events and making some substantial contributions to our chosen charities. Congratulations go to those fortunate enough to win our competitive events with Design Development winning our bowling night and ADG Architects being successful in our golf day. Unfortunately, the weather was the only winner in or inaugural cricket event but we will try again this year.
